Blake Cooper joins Powell Law Group as a Consultant. He has served as a teacher, coach, high school principal, and as Superintendent of Commerce ISD, where he was named the Region 10 Superintendent of the Year in 2015. Blake has also been an instructor and coach at East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M University Commerce. Since Blake’s retirement from Commerce ISD in June of 2016, he worked as the Executive Director of Friends of Texas Public Schools, a non-profit organization that advocates for public education students, teachers and staff throughout the state of Texas until June of 2020. Blake is also the founder Educators Christian Fellowship whose mission is to encourage and equip educators in dealing with the daily challenges of leading students in today’s schools, colleges, and universities. Blake has conducted over 100 board trainings over the last four years.
